The Project
For our ecology project we had to find an animal that was in risk of dying from changes in their environment. For our project we picked the Amur leopard, The Amur Leopard lives in the north eastern part of Russia in the snow. But due to rising temperatures its habitat is being destroyed. For this project we needed to come up and execute Ideas we can do to help save the changing climates to save the Amur Leopard.
Content
Tropic Levels- Levels in a food chain; Producer, primary, secondary, top level consumers.
Succession-The process by which the structure of a biological community evolves over time
Abiotic - Non-Living factors that affect living organisms in the environment
Biotic- Living factors that affect living organisms in the environment
10% Rule- Only ten percent of the energy flows up the food chain
Carbon Cycle- How carbon moves moves through the environment
Symbiosis- The interaction between two different organisms living in close proximity to each other.
Niche- The place where a species live under specific environmental conditions
Nutrient Cycles- How nutrients such as phosphorus move through the environment
Population Factors- Density dependent and density independent. Density dependent factors are factors the happen when the population reaches a certain density. Independent factors are ones that are not influenced by population
Carrying capacity - How many organisms can live in an area without disturbing the balance of the environment
Autotroph- An organism that can produce its own energy
Hetrotroph- An organism that consumes other organisms to get energy
Biome- A large naturally occurring community of flora and fauna
Climate- Long term average weather in an area
Weather- Short term temperature

Reflection
Over all this project was pretty entertaining, because we got to pick how we saved our animals environment. I worked well with my group and my work ethic was great. I was also very cooperative with my group and we listened to each other very well. But i could have stayed on task more and i could have shown alittle more leader ship in the group. I would gladly choose another animals environment and do this again.
