For this project we made a list of world problems and had to pick one and try to solve it. We picked expensive space travel, we then worked hard to find out how much space ships and other materials to build them costed. We also found that the materials used to build them are super expensive. It cost NASA about $20,200 to put a kilogram of mass into Low-Earth orbit. S.L.S. rockets cost around 500 million dollars for everything (rocket, capsule, and launch pads).
We plan to make space docking stations that rockets can dock at to refuel and/or repair. They will be able to store fuel and build space ships in space. Our first step is to build the rockets that will be able dock at these stations. We plan to make the rockets at least 80% reusable, having the boosters and command pod have parachutes that will deploy as they near earths surface.

The first thing we did is build i blue print of what we wanted our space ship to look like(picture at right). After that we went through all the space exploration video games and choose a top 3. The simulator that we used was Kerbal space program. It had the best ratings but it was $40. We then were able to build our space ship almost exactly, we could do everything except the size. We were able to test all of its functions and it survived exiting and reenter into the atmosphere. Our last step was to find our what material we wanted to make our spaceship out of, we determined that titanium was the best because it could survive the heat.

This project by far was one of the most fun because we got to choose a topic we wanted to do. We were able to design our own procedure there wasn't any restrictions. Leadership is one thing I would work on, I didn't take much control and I would like to fix that by putting more ideas into action. I have worked more in a group than I ever have. Above all I was able to cooperate well on a topic I was into, I wasn't ever bored sitting at information I didn't want to learn about.
